Handover of the equipment

Pickup and return on site in Lyon 3 only (Click & Collect) — the gear is handed over in person at the Fox Rider point, 2 Impasse du Lutin, 69003 Lyon, and you bring it back to the same place at the end of the rental. No shipping (Chronopost or pickup point) for this gear. Optional: delivery and collection at the event venue.

ID to show at pickup: a copy is kept during the rental, then deleted 30 days after it ends.

Rental Soundboks 4: the battery-powered speaker, no socket needed

The Soundboks 4 is a standalone battery-powered speaker, made to play where there is no socket. It is controlled over Bluetooth from a phone, or connected by cable to a mixer or a DJ controller. It is handed over with a charged battery.

What the manufacturer's data sheet says

Soundboks states two 10-inch woofers and a 1-inch compression tweeter, three 72 W RMS class-D amplifiers and a maximum level of 126 dB. The removable battery lasts up to 40 h at mid volume and 6 h at full volume. The electronics are IP65 protected. The speaker weighs 16.1 kg.

Does the Soundboks 4 have Bluetooth?

Yes, Bluetooth 5.0. The Soundboks 4 also has two XLR/6.35 mm jack combo inputs and a 3.5 mm mini-jack input, for a mixer or a DJ controller. A Shure SM58 microphone (XLR cable supplied) and its mic stand (free) can be added as options when booking, to plug into a combo input.

Can the Soundboks 4 be used outdoors?

Yes: it runs on its battery, with no socket, and Soundboks states IP65 protected electronics, against dust and water jets. The Soundboks 4 must not be immersed.

Do you deliver the Soundboks 4?

Not by post: pickup in Lyon 3, or optional delivery and collection at the venue (60 € + 3 €/km, up to 100 km). Pickup every day from 9 am to 8 pm, by appointment made in advance; the exact address is sent with the order confirmation.

How much does it cost to rent the Soundboks 4?

The price depends on the rental length, from one to seven days, and the price per day goes down as the rental gets longer: the amount for each length, the spare battery and the Soundboks 4 excess are shown on this page. The excess is paid on site at handover and refunded after the check on return. Damage and theft insurance is included in the price, as for cameras and drones.
