Article 1 — Organiser
The “La Pépite” prize competition (hereinafter the “Competition”) is organised by Fox Rider (SASU with share capital of 500 €), registered under SIRET 10526527600011, whose registered office is at 38 rue des Mathurins, 75008 Paris (hereinafter the “Organiser” or “Fox Rider”). Contact: head@fox-rider.com.
Article 2 — Nature of the game & free entry (no purchase necessary)
The Competition is a free promotional prize draw falling under the regime for advertising lotteries (articles L. 121-36 et seq. of the Code de la consommation, the French Consumer Code). The winner of the main prize is designated by a random draw (see article 6).
Entry is entirely free and requires no purchase and no hire. No expenditure, no order and no hire is required to enter, to vote, to be eligible for the draw, or to receive a prize. The obligation to vote in order to be eligible (article 5) involves no financial sacrifice: voting is free.
Article 3 — Conditions of entry
- The Competition is open to any natural person who is of full age (18 years or over) and resident in mainland France. Age is declared by means of a tick box on submission; no date of birth is stored for that purpose.
- Entry requires a Fox Rider customer account with a verified e-mail address. A given entrant may hold only one account in order to enter.
- The following are excluded: the Organiser, its employees and officers, anyone who has taken part in organising the Competition, and members of their family (same household).
- One single entry in the draw per person, identified by the customer account, whatever the number of Pépites submitted. The number of submissions is capped at 3 per account per edition (for variety of content, with no advantage whatsoever in the draw).
Article 4 — Editions & draw threshold
The Competition runs in successive editions. An edition runs from its opening until the threshold of 50 valid entries (submissions approved by moderation) is reached.
As soon as the threshold of 50 valid entries is reached, the draw is held after submissions and votes have closed. A new edition then opens immediately. The pace of the Competition is set by the entries, not by the calendar: there is no closing date.
Article 5 — How it works: submission & compulsory vote
Submitting a Pépite. Each entrant shares a piece of music through a link to a third-party platform (see article 8), together with a genre and a short introduction. Every submission is moderated before publication: it is visible and can be voted for only once approved.
Voting — eligibility condition. To be eligible for the random draw, an entrant must meet both of the following conditions:
- have at least one approved Pépite in the edition; and
- have voted for another entrant’s Pépite (an approved one). Voting for your own Pépite is prohibited.
Each verified customer has a single vote per edition (the choice of the “best” Pépite), which may be changed until closing (a new vote replaces the previous one). Any verified customer may vote; only entrants are required to do so in order to be eligible for the draw.
Confidential votes. Throughout the edition, no vote count is public (an anti-influence measure). Each entrant sees only their own vote and the overall progress “X / 50 valid entries”. The results of the votes are revealed only at closing, after the draw.
Article 6 — Designation of the winners
Main prize — random draw. The main prize is awarded by a random draw among the eligible entrants (article 5), on the basis of one ticket per person. The draw is triggered manually by the Organiser after closing and after moderation has been cleared. Randomness is obtained using a cryptographic random generator; the operation is time-stamped and archived (the ordered list of eligible entrants, the SHA-256 hash of that list, the index drawn and the time stamp are retained for evidential purposes). The involvement of a judicial officer is not required by law and is not promised: the traced random procedure takes its place.
Community favourite — on merit. The Pépite that has received the largest number of valid votes in the edition is designated the “Community favourite”. In the event of a tie in votes, the Pépite submitted earliest wins (seniority, a deterministic criterion).
No combining of prizes. A given entrant may not receive both the draw prize and the community favourite prize. If the winner of the draw is also the author of the most-voted Pépite, the community favourite title (and its prize) goes to the Pépite ranked immediately after.
Article 7 — Prizes
The prizes are awarded after closing. They are personal, non-transferable, non-exchangeable and may not be converted into cash; any unused balance is neither refunded nor carried over.
- Draw winner — one free hire. The winner receives one free hire of Fox Rider equipment, in the form of a personal single-use discount code (in the format
FR-PEPITE-…), capped at a commercial value of 150 € including tax (above that, the difference remains payable by the winner), valid for 12 months from its issue. The discount applies to the hire price only: the security deposit (taken and then refunded), as well as any applicable insurance, remain payable in accordance with the general terms and conditions of hire. Prize valid subject to availability and not combinable with any other offer. - Community favourite — a vinyl record. The author of the most-voted Pépite wins one vinyl record with an indicative commercial value of 25 € including tax, to be collected in person. The value stated is indicative and may not be challenged.
Fox Rider reserves the right to replace a prize with a prize of equivalent value in the event of unavailability, without any liability on its part.
Article 8 — Content & lawful links
A “Pépite” is a link to a track hosted on a third-party platform from a closed list (allowlist): Spotify, YouTube, Bandcamp, SoundCloud and Discogs. No audio file is hosted by Fox Rider: only the embedded player of the original platform (or, for Discogs, a link to the entry) is displayed.
- Warranty. The entrant declares and warrants that they have the right to share the link submitted and that it infringes no third-party right. They remain solely responsible for the content they submit.
- Display licence. By submitting a Pépite, the entrant grants Fox Rider a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display the link, the title, the artist and their introduction as part of the Competition and its promotion (Competition page, results, Fox Rider social media), for the duration of the Competition and of its archiving.
- No affiliation. The Competition is neither organised nor sponsored by, nor associated with, those platforms. The trade marks mentioned belong to their respective owners and are named for descriptive purposes only.
Article 9 — Anti-cheating & disqualification
Any fraud or manipulation results in the immediate disqualification of the entrant and the cancellation of their submissions and votes, without notice. The following in particular are prohibited: creating multiple accounts, identity theft, the use of automation or bots, buying or exchanging votes, circumventing moderation and sharing content to which the entrant does not hold the rights.
For the purposes of detecting multiple accounts, a salted technical fingerprint (hash) of the connection is logged as an alert signal for the Organiser; it never triggers an automatic block. The Organiser may set aside suspicious entries before the draw and decides any case of cheating at its sole discretion; those decisions are recorded.
Article 10 — Personal data (GDPR)
The Organiser processes personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and with Act no. 78-17 as amended.
- Data controller: Fox Rider (SASU with share capital of 500 €), SIRET 10526527600011.
- Purpose: management of entries, of votes, of moderation, of the random draw, and of the designation and awarding of prizes.
- Legal basis: performance of these rules as accepted by the entrant and the Organiser’s legitimate interest in running the Competition. Any use for marketing purposes rests on separate, explicit consent that is not pre-ticked, independent of entry.

- Retention period: the Competition data is retained for a maximum of 3 years after closing; the draw traceability records are retained as evidence for the same period, then deleted or anonymised.

Article 11 — Liability & force majeure
The Organiser may not be held liable for network malfunctions, for the third-party platforms hosting the tracks, or for any cause beyond its control. It reserves the right to shorten, extend, amend, suspend or cancel the Competition in the event of force majeure or where circumstances so require, without any liability on its part.
Article 12 — Governing law, disputes & acceptance
These rules are subject to French law. Any dispute concerning their interpretation or performance that cannot be settled amicably will be submitted to the competent French courts. The rules are dated, available online at this address, and may be amended; any amendment will be published on this page.
Entering the Competition implies full and unreserved acceptance of these rules. Any entry that is incomplete, non-compliant or fraudulent will be treated as void.
