New: what's coming to the catalog on August 27

The Insta360 X6 and the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P will join the rental catalog on Thursday, August 27, 2026, the first in a standard pack, the second in the Creator Combo — the box DJI also sells under the name Vlog Combo. They are purchased, they have not yet been received. You will therefore not read here any opinions from the field, no measured autonomy and no photos taken with it.

TheInsta360 X6 was put on sale on August 12, 2026. The amounts above are public purchase prices, in euros all taxes included. On the DJI side, only the Standard Combo price is published by the manufacturer; the Vlog Combo price is recorded at retailers. They do not prejudge the rental price, which follows a different logic.

What we know, and what we don't know yet

We know what the manufacturers publish: the shooting principle, the definition announced for the X6, the optics of the 4P, the two offers of each device and their purchase price. We also know the arrival date at the park, because the material is paid for and delivery is final.

The rental price and the excess are now published: the daily rate is shown on the product page of the Insta360 X6 and on that of the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P , both with an excess of €200. The page for each product is the reference. There remains one unknown, and only one: the color that will actually be in the park for X6. The X6 creator pack is not rented as a separate reference: the X6 rents with the X5 accessory base, plus the foldable selfie stick remote kit; its Mic Pro microphone is optional. The 4P, on the other hand, is rented as the Creator Combo, the other name of the Vlog Combo: its accessories are not options to tick, they are included, at €0 — wireless microphone kit DJI Mic Mini 2, Osmo FrameTap, mini-tripod Osmo and auxiliary lamp all appear in the pack, on the Pocket 4P page. We do not rent the Standard Combo, which contains less.

Why a date now, and not before

These two devices have been featured in our upcoming hardware announcements since August 14, without any date. This was not commercial prudence: announcing “available on August 27” is binding, and a date that is not kept becomes a misleading claim within the meaning of article L.121-2 of the Consumer Code. Until the order was paid and delivery was not firm, the only honest thing to write was “soon”.

Today the two conditions are met, the date becomes sayable, and it is entered where it has a real effect: in the reservation calendar, which does not offer any earlier date. An ad that lives in a sentence may be forgotten; unavailability listed in the dates cannot be. It’s the same logic that prohibits us from writing a rental rate before having fixed it.

Name precision that avoids a command error

The “P” in Pocket 4P is not an abbreviation of “Pro”. It designates a model distinct from the Osmo Pocket 4, equipped with a dual objective. The name "Osmo Pocket 4 Pro" does not exist in the manufacturer's catalog: the corresponding address leads nowhere. If you're comparing deals elsewhere, check the lens engraving — "1-INCH" and "3X" — rather than the seller's label.

Confusion is common because the two devices share the same silhouette and screen. It has a concrete consequence: an accessory advertised for Osmo Pocket 4 is not necessarily compatible with 4P, and the opposite is also true. In rental, the question does not arise - the pack is complete - but it matters if you compare purchase prices between two sellers.

What doesn't change

The nine current references remain in the catalog, with their prices and deductibles. The new features are added, they do not replace anything: l'Insta360 X5 remains the 360 camera available today, and it will remain so after September. The rental rules don't change either — duration from 1 to 62 days, breakage and theft insurance included on the cameras, excess of €100, €150, €200 or €250 depending on the reference.
