Who is a 360 camera rental for?
For anyone who wants to capture a whole scene without framing it live: venue tours, travel vlogs, social media content, ground-level “drone effect” shots. You film first, then pick the best angle afterwards, frame by frame, and the invisible selfie stick disappears from the shot.
Renting rather than buying also means choosing the right model for a specific need. Insta360 X4, Insta360 X5 and Insta360 X6 are three generations of the same family: the 8K frame rate and the image processing move on from one to the next. Our articles below spell out what changes before you book.
Damage and theft cover is included in the rental price, except for delivery to the Netherlands or Portugal; a security deposit, separate from the price and shown on each product page, is taken when you order and returned once the gear has been checked on its return. 360 camera for a road trip or a vlog
On the road, a single 360 camera stands in for several angles: on the end of the supplied 1.10 m telescopic pole, it films you and the landscape together, and the pole disappears from the picture. You choose the framing when you get back, shot by shot, vertical for social media or horizontal for a film.
Over several days, battery life matters more than resolution: an extra battery, a 30,000 mAh power bank or the 3 m pole can be hired as options. So that nothing gets lost afterwards, the download link option gives you all your videos back with no transfer to do yourself.
360 camera for motorcycling
On the helmet, the 360 camera films your point of view; mounted on the bike at the end of the pole, it gives a third-person shot and the pole disappears from the image. You then choose the angle in the Insta360 app.

Collection in Lyon or delivery: how do I get the camera?
Tracked delivery across Europe. In France the parcel arrives the day before your shoot, free collection in Lyon is possible every day by appointment booked in advance, and the return goes back by Chronopost with the prepaid label provided (drop-off at a post office or a pickup point). You choose when you book.
Can you really choose the framing after the shoot?
Yes, that is the whole point of 360: the camera records the entire scene, and you then choose the angle, the framing and the camera moves in the Insta360 app, from a phone or a computer.
Which 360 camera should I take on a road trip?
Every Insta360 comes with its battery, a dual charger, a 1 TB microSD card and a 1.10 m pole; over several days, add an extra battery or a power bank as an option. The daily rate goes down with the length of the rental: a long trip costs less per day than a one-day outing.
