How much does a rental cost: our 9 prices in clear terms
No video equipment rental company publishes its complete schedule. We do it here, as it is applied to the basket on August 14, 2026: nine products, four durations, prices including tax, breakage and theft insurance included for cameras and drones.
The grid, product by product
These amounts are totals, not prices per day. “7 days” means seven days for that price.

DJ equipment can be rented for a maximum of seven days, hence the dashes in the last column. Cameras and drones last up to sixty-two days.

What one more day costs
The degression is not linear, and this is where the real arbitration on dates comes into play. Three things are worth knowing before choosing your niche.
The second day is free on three devices. One GoPro HERO 11 Black costs €41.40 for one day… and €41.40 for two. A Insta360 X4: €46.60 in both cases. A Fujifilm instax WIDE Evo also: €41.40 for one day or two. If you are hesitating between Saturday alone and the entire weekend, the question does not arise.
After the third day, the additional day collapses. Between the fourth and seventh day, it returns between €1 and €5 on the GoPro, the Insta360 X4 and the instax, between €5.40 and €8.32 on the Insta360 X5, and between €5.95 and €13.52 on the drones. A full week of HERO 11 costs €58.12, or €8.30 per day, when the same camera taken for a single day costs €41.40.
DJ equipment does not degrade. Beyond the third day, each additional day costs the same price, approximately €24.52, and the rental stops at seven days. This is the only position in the catalog where renting for a long time is not advantageous.
What is added to the displayed price
The price of the grid covers the equipment and its pack. Three positions can be added, all optional:
- Recovery and return. Click & Collect in Lyon 3 is free, in both directions. By Chronopost, the relay point costs €6 for the outward journey and €6 for the return; home delivery the day before costs €20 before 6 p.m., €22 before 1 p.m. and €25 before 10 a.m.
- Optional accessories. From €1 (floating handle, chest mount, forehead strap) to €5 (helmet mount, which is a consumable), most at €2: diving housing, media module, 3 m pole, additional battery, ND filters.
- The films instax , which are a consumable: €15 for a pack of 10, €27 for a pack of 20.
One point that changes the total: for DJ and sound equipment, breakage and theft insurance is billed separately, €5 per day capped at €75. For cameras and drones, it is already included in the price of the table.
Which is already understood, and which will not be re-invoiced to you
The pack delivered with each device is not an extra. A Insta360 X5 leaves with its battery, a dual charger, a 1 TB SanDisk microSD card, a rigid carrying case, a 25 W fast charger and a 1.10 m invisible selfie stick. A DJI Mini 5 Pro leaves with three batteries, the triple charging hub, the screen remote control, the same 1 TB card, the bag and spare propellers. This is the actual contents of the package, not a list of arguments.
What about the security deposit?
It is not a cost. It is a deposit blocked for the duration of the rental then returned in full: €100, €150 or €250 depending on the device, never more. Adding it to the rental price to compare two rental companies is the most common error — we have detailed the complete grid in our article on the security deposit.
A final reference, taken from our orders
Of rentals that actually leave, the average duration is 9.3 days, and the Insta360 X5 — our most requested device — leaves an average of 7.1 days. In other words, most people book spontaneously in the area where the extra day costs almost nothing. If you hesitate between five and seven days, the difference is often less than €10.
