Renting a DJI Osmo Pocket 4P: frequently asked questions

The DJI Osmo Pocket 4P has been in our fleet since 27 August 2026, in a single rental reference: the Creator Combo, which DJI also sells under the name Vlog Combo — it is the same box, priced at €689 by retailers. Its accessories — wireless microphone kit DJI Mic Mini 2, Osmo FrameTap, mini-tripod Osmo, auxiliary lamp — are included in the rental, at €0, and listed as such on its sheet. We do not rent the Standard Combo, which contains less. Here are the ten questions that come up, with short answers — and, when we don't know yet, the explicit mention that we don't know.

Dates and availability

When can I rent it?

Since Thursday, 27 August 2026. It is in the fleet and books like the rest of the catalog.

Can I book now for a date in September or October?

Yes. The calendar is open, and booking early is the only way to secure a weekend on new equipment, which is inevitably in demand.

What happens if the arrival is delayed?

We will notify you and offer you either a postponement of dates, a replacement with an equivalent device from the fleet, or a full refund. A rental that cannot be honored is refunded, it cannot be negotiated. If your shoot has a fixed date and no postponement is possible, let us know when booking: we will offer you a fallback solution in the existing park before your date, rather than the evening before.

Is it possible to see it before booking?

Write to us: we look at it case by case. We will publish photos of our own unit, and not press visuals.

The two DJI boxes

What is the difference between Standard Combo and Vlog Combo?

The housing is the same in both cases: 1-inch sensor, 3x telephoto lens, 3-axis mechanical gimbal, adjustable screen. It is the accessories that change, and those of the Vlog Combo — which DJI also calls the Creator Combo — are aimed at speaking. The distinction only matters when buying: for rental we offer only that one box, its accessories included, as detailed on the 4P product page. The Standard Combo is not in the rental catalogue.

Which one should I choose if I’m hesitant?

For rental, the question does not arise: there is only one box, the Creator Combo, and the wireless mic kit is already in it. It arises if you are buying: is anyone speaking in the frame? If so, the Vlog Combo at €689 saves you buying the microphone separately; otherwise, the Standard Combo at €599 is enough.

Does the rental pack contain the same thing as the manufacturer's box?

No, it usually contains more. Across the entire fleet, we systematically add what is missing in a new box: 1 TB SanDisk microSD card, 25 W fast charger and a carrying solution, as on the GoPro HERO 12 Black . On the 4P the battery is built in: there is no dual charger, and it travels in a soft pouch, not in a rigid case. The exact details will appear on the product sheet, accessory by accessory, as with the rest of the catalog.

Deposit, insurance, package contents

What is the deposit?

Our grid has four bars — €100, €150, €200 or €250 — applied according to the value of the material, and the Pocket 4P sits at €200, the amount shown on its product sheet. The complete operation is explained in the real security deposit grid.

Is breakage and theft insurance included?

Yes, it is included in the rental price, as with all our cameras and drones. What it covers, what it doesn't cover and the exact role of the excess are detailed in our page on breakage and theft coverage.

Delivery or collection in Lyon?

Both are possible, and the right choice depends above all on your departure time for filming: we compared the two formulas in delivery or collection in Lyon.

What we don't know yet

We will not advance any measured autonomy, nor water resistance, nor thermal behavior until the device has passed into our hands. These are precisely the three figures that the files most readily copy and which the filming most often denies.

What we do know is written on the camera itself: two lenses, engraved “1-INCH” and “3X.” The rest will come with measurements made on our own unit.

What if its dates are already taken?

The current fleet already covers most needs: the HERO 12 for action and bindings, the Insta360 X5 for wide coverage and cropping during editing — current daily rates on their product sheets. One last pointer before booking: the really useful rental periods, because it is there, and not on the choice of model, that the budget comes into play.
