Amazing experience! I rented a DJI Mini 5 Pro for my road trip and it truly transformed my journey. For a birthday, rent a sound system for a weekend: the Soundboks 4 for the garden, the RCF ART 912-A pair for the hall, and DJ decks if you want to mix — without buying equipment you’d only use once.
Private party or association
Renting a sound system without a DJ: you play the music yourself, from a phone over Bluetooth on the Soundboks 4, or from a USB stick on the Pioneer XDJ-RX3 controller plugged into the RCF ART 912-A pair. Individual or association, you book online and collect the gear in Lyon 3rd.

Ask a questionWhat does a sound system rental include, with or without a DJ?
A party sound system here is made of the RCF ART 912-A pair of active speakers (mains powered) or the Soundboks 4 (battery powered), plus the Pioneer XDJ-RX3 for mixing, each rented on its own page. Without a DJ, you play the music yourself: the Soundboks 4 is controlled over Bluetooth from a phone. Up to two Shure SM58 microphones can be added as an option, XLR cable supplied. We check the equipment with you at pickup in Lyon 3, then you set it up yourself.
Is the gear insured, and how does the deposit work?
Yes: the sound equipment is insured against damage and theft by our partner Tulip, like cameras and drones, and the insurance is included in the price, with no paperwork and no extra charge; each item’s page shows whether it is covered. The deposit on DJ equipment is taken as a card pre-authorisation, through a link sent before pick-up or delivery: it is not charged, only held in the event of damage, theft or loss, and released when the gear comes back in the same condition. It amounts to 10% of the replacement value of the sound gear rented, excluding VAT, rounded up to the next multiple of €50, and it is separate from the rental price.
How do I collect the sound system and DJ equipment, in Lyon or around Lyon?
The equipment is collected and returned in person in Lyon (click & collect), every day, by appointment booked in advance; we check it together at hand-over and on return. Around Lyon (Villeurbanne, Caluire, Bron, Vénissieux, Écully, Villefranche-sur-Saône, Vienne, elsewhere in the Rhône) as in the rest of mainland France, delivery and collection at the event venue are done on quote, with the journey charged and an on-screen estimate on this page.
Can I rent a sound system for a weekend, and at what price?
Yes — and even for a single day if you like: the minimum rental is one day. Pickup and return happen every day, weekends included, by appointment: you can take the gear for a weekend for a wedding, a birthday or a party, or extend it from Friday to Monday. There is no weekend package: the price is shown on each item’s page and drops per day as the rental gets longer, and several pieces of sound gear rented for the same dates get the multi-item discount. DJ gear can be booked online for up to 8 days; beyond that, on quote.
Do I need to know how to mix to rent decks?
No. Our gear (the all-in-one Pioneer XDJ-RX3, the Technics SL-1210 MK2) suits seasoned DJs and complete beginners alike. Every rental includes the cables you need and a quick start guide.
Do the RCF ART 912-A speakers have Bluetooth?
No. Each RCF ART 912-A speaker has XLR and jack inputs and an XLR output. For a phone or a laptop, bring a mini-jack to 6.35 mm jack or XLR cable, which is not supplied.
Do the RCF ART 912-A speakers need an amplifier?
No: they are active speakers, with the amplifier built into each RCF cabinet. A mixer, a controller such as the Pioneer XDJ-RX3 or a laptop plugs straight in.

To rent a PA system or DJ decks in Lyon as an individual or an association, for a party or a birthday, Fox Rider offers a pair of RCF ART 912-A speakers, an RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer, a Soundboks 4 battery speaker, the Pioneer XDJ-RX3 controller and Technics turntables. This sound system and DJ equipment is collected free in Lyon 3rd district, by appointment, or delivered to your venue, on quote: around Lyon (Villeurbanne, Caluire, Bron, Vénissieux, Écully, Villefranche-sur-Saône, Vienne) as elsewhere in mainland France, with the journey charged. It is never shipped. There is no weekend package: the price of each item is shown on its page and depends on the number of days.
- Vinyl turntables — A pair of Technics SL-1210 MK2 turntables with pre-mounted Ortofon Concorde Mix cartridges, supplied with two flight cases and the RCA and ground cables.
- All-in-one controller — The Pioneer XDJ-RX3, a console with a large touchscreen that plays your tracks from a USB stick, supplied with its flight case and its RCA and XLR cables.

Technics SL-1210 MK2 turntable rental: for what kind of set?
The Technics SL-1210 MK2 is the reference vinyl turntable in the DJ world. Solid, precise and dependable, it has been in clubs and studios the world over for decades. At Fox Rider you can rent a Technics SL-1210 MK2 vinyl turntable for a weekend or up to eight days online — 8 days is our maximum online booking length on DJ gear, longer on quote. Ideal for a vinyl set, a wedding, a party — or simply to learn on before you buy.
Pioneer XDJ-RX3 DJ controller rental: can you mix without a computer?
Yes. The Pioneer XDJ-RX3 is a standalone all-in-one console: large touchscreen, built-in effects and playback of your tracks from a USB stick. For a wedding, a birthday or a private party, you only need to rent a Pioneer DJ controller to mix: plug it into the RCF ART 912-A pair or the Soundboks 4. It comes with its flight case, a pair of RCA cables, a pair of XLR cables and its power cable. A Shure SM58 microphone, XLR cable supplied, and Sony headphones can be added as options. Before the party, the free DJ Set tool analyses your tracks and prepares your USB stick.
Which PA system to hire: the RCF pair, the RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer or the Soundboks 4?
In a venue with power sockets, the pair of RCF ART 912-A active speakers delivers 1,050 W RMS per speaker. It takes a line-level signal over XLR or jack, with no Bluetooth, and is hired with two stands, two covers and two power cables. On its own it has neither a subwoofer nor a mixer: plug in the Pioneer XDJ-RX3. The optional Shure SM58 microphone plugs into the controller with the supplied XLR cable.
Do you need a subwoofer? It is optional: the RCF SUB 15-AX active subwoofer adds bass on the dance floor. It is hired separately, from its own product page, and there is only one unit: 15-inch driver, 1,100 W RMS and 133 dB SPL at 1 m, as stated by RCF. The source plugs into the subwoofer, which sends the filtered signal to the RCF ART 912-A speakers. Cables are supplied; no mixer is included.
Where there is no socket, or in the open air (garden, garden party), choose the Soundboks 4, a battery-powered speaker: 3 × 72 W RMS, Bluetooth, XLR and jack inputs, up to 40 h at mid volume and 6 h at full volume according to Soundboks. It is handed over with a charged battery. Optional extras: a spare battery and a Shure SM58 microphone, with XLR cable supplied and a free mic stand.
