Ask a questionDo I need an RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer with the RCF speakers?
Not always. The RCF ART 912-A pair is enough for background music; the RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer adds the low end a dance floor needs. It rents on its own, next to the pair or a single RCF speaker, and two subwoofers need at least two RCF speakers.
Can I connect a phone to the RCF speakers?
Yes, with the Bluetooth connector / sound card rented as an option (€5 to rent); XLR and RCA cables are included with the RCF speakers. The Soundboks 4 has Bluetooth built in.
Is the Soundboks 4 suitable for an outdoor party?
Yes: the Soundboks 4 runs on its battery, handed over charged, and is controlled over Bluetooth from a phone. A spare battery can be rented as an option (€8) for a long evening, as can a Shure SM58 mic (€5), XLR cable supplied and mic stand free.
How do I collect the RCF speakers and the Soundboks 4?
At the free pick-up in Lyon 3rd, by appointment from 9 am to 8 pm, every day, with your original ID document. Each RCF speaker weighs 19.5 kg and the RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer 31.4 kg: come by car. Fox Rider can also deliver, set up and collect the gear at the venue, in mainland France, on quote.
How long can I rent online?
From 1 to 8 days, pick-up day and return day included. Beyond that, or for delivery to the venue, the booking tool sends a quote request.
Is the gear insured, and how does the deposit work?
Yes: the sound equipment is insured against damage and theft by our partner Tulip, like cameras and drones, and the insurance is included in the price, with no paperwork and no extra charge; each item’s page shows whether it is covered. The deposit on DJ equipment is taken as a card pre-authorisation, through a link sent before pick-up or delivery: it is not charged, only held in the event of damage, theft or loss, and released when the gear comes back in the same condition. It amounts to 10% of the replacement value of the sound gear rented, excluding VAT, rounded up to the next multiple of €50, and it is separate from the rental price.

The Soundboks 4 is the catalogue’s Bluetooth speaker, standalone and portable: it is handed over with a charged battery and is controlled over Bluetooth from a phone, or plugged in by XLR or jack. A spare battery can be rented as an option for a long evening. For outdoor sound, in the open air or at a garden party, with no power socket, it is all you need; read battery speaker: making an outdoor party work. The RCF ART 912-A speakers have no Bluetooth: they connect by XLR or jack, or take the Bluetooth connector rented as an option.

Pick-up is in Lyon 3rd, by appointment from 9 am to 8 pm, on presentation of your original ID document. For a speaker near you, in Villeurbanne, Caluire, Bron, Vénissieux, Écully, Villefranche-sur-Saône or Vienne, Fox Rider delivers and collects the gear at the venue, in mainland France, on quote, with the journey charged; set-up and take-down on site can also be requested on quote. Each RCF speaker weighs 19.5 kg and the subwoofer 31.4 kg: without delivery, come by car.
Security deposit and cover for sound gear
The security deposit is taken as a card imprint, through a link sent before pick-up or delivery: it is not charged and is released once the gear comes back in the same condition. Breakage and theft cover is included in the rental price for gear marked “Covered for damage and theft”.
