Rental RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer

For subwoofer rental in Lyon, Fox Rider offers the RCF SUB 15-AX, a 15-inch active subwoofer that complements the RCF ART 912-A pair of speakers. It is rented on its own, to add to your speakers. Free pickup in Lyon 3rd district, 7 days a week by appointment, or delivery and collection at your venue, on quote.

According to RCF, the ART 912-A speakers go down to 50 Hz on their own; the subwoofer plays from 35 Hz to 120 Hz. It is worth adding when the music is bass-heavy: dance floor, electronic music, hip-hop. For background music or speeches, the pair alone is enough.

Your source plugs into one of the subwoofer's two XLR/jack combo inputs: a DJ controller such as the Pioneer XDJ-RX3, a mixer or a computer. Its two filtered XLR outputs send the top of the spectrum to the two speakers, and the subwoofer keeps the bass. Its processor offers an RCF preset designed for the ART 912-A.

Settings are made on the 2.4-inch touchscreen or from the LiveRemote app. Its Bluetooth is for control, not for streaming music. Connection cables are included.

The subwoofer weighs 31.4 kg and measures 420 × 590 × 590 mm: you will need a suitable vehicle and two people to carry it. Specifications stated by RCF:

• 15-inch driver with a 3-inch voice coil, in a bass-reflex plywood cabinet coated with polyurea.
• Class D amplifier, 1100 W RMS and 2200 W peak.
• Maximum sound pressure of 133 dB at one metre, response from 35 Hz to 120 Hz.
• Processor with RCF filter presets, equaliser, delay and cardioid mode.
• 2 XLR/jack combo inputs, 2 XLR Link outputs and 2 filtered XLR outputs.

The RCF SUB 15-AX subwoofer is rented on its own and added to the RCF ART 912-A speakers for a dance party. The RCF SUB 15-AX does not cover the hall without them. The source plugs into the RCF SUB 15-AX, which sends the upper range to the speakers through its XLR outputs.

The subwoofer is never shipped. You collect and return it free of charge at 2 Impasse du Lutin, in Lyon 3rd district, 7 days a week from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., by appointment, with an original ID document. It can also be delivered and collected at your venue, in mainland France, on quote, with set-up and take-down on site if you request it in the quote.

Damage and theft cover is included in the rental price for gear marked “Covered for damage and theft”. The whole range is on the sound system hire in Lyon page. For a reception, see also our wedding equipment hire in Lyon page.
